Elementary and Primary School Library
Flour Bluff Independent School District
The project scope included the construction of new library space for the existing Primary and Elementary Schools into one area. The new space included youth-sized bookshelf stack areas, reading rooms, IT classrooms, a combined circulation desk area with administrative offices, workroom, storage and Teacher resource area. A large multi-purpose area was created with furniture adaptable for student project work tables or Teacher conferences.
Padded perimeter window niches were designed to allow children to climb in with a book and read. Casual kid-sized seating areas were also designed for unstructured ready and waiting.
